Venezuela Situation

Venezuela has been facing a severe and prolonged humanitarian crisis. Years of political instability and economic hardship have pushed millions into poverty, leaving families without reliable access to food, healthcare, or education.

Many of these families are afraid, vulnerable and in need of urgent protection.

After the earthquake on June 24th 2026, UNHCR is closely monitoring recent developments in Venezuela and the region. As the situation evolves, preparedness is more important than ever and UNHCR stands ready to support emergency relief efforts and protect displaced people in need, as required, working closely with the government and partners.
